Jittery Joe’s Coffee Partners With Creative Consultant Peter Dale to Create Kokoro Matcha Latte

Jittery Joe’s Coffee, the Athens-based purveyor that has grown into one of the Southeast’s most respected specialty small-batch coffee roasters and is also known for its creative collaborations and partnerships, has announced its latest release: an instant Kokoro Matcha Latte for home consumption. Done in partnership with Peter Dale, the creative force behind Athens-based brands Condor Chocolates, Maepole, and 5&10, amongst others, co-owner Michael Ripps worked closely with Ishikawa Farm in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan over the last several years to import the world-class ceremonial matcha that is the foundation of this latte beverage.

The partnership, which focused on each of their strengths—Jittery Joe’s long history of sourcing and roasting the highest-quality green coffee beans from direct trade relationships and Peter’s culinary expertise—tapped into the exploding popularity of the green tea surge to create an elevated product to be enjoyed at home. Kokoro Matcha Latte is packaged in a unique, custom-designed can, combining the finest ingredients from Ishikawa Ceremonial Matcha with powdered oat milk and organic coconut milk powder, and is slightly sweetened with sugar. This mix is also dairy-free yet still creamy from the coconut and oat milk. Mixed with hot water or enjoyed over ice, Kokoro Matcha delivers a cafe-level experience at home.
