Kicking off the street party in proper fashion, Bedhead, one of Atlanta’s favorite cover bands will deliver a high-energy live performance featuring favorite 80s and 90s tunes. While Bedhead rocks the house and Sidebar serves up $2 PBRs, $4 Deep Eddy and Deep Eddy Ruby Red vodka drinks, local magician “Howie the Great” will dazzle spectators with his slight-of-hand skills. A DJ in Red Bull’s MXT truck will later take over the soundtrack for the evening and will keep the party going all night long. Of course, it wouldn’t be a street party without snake handlers, fire breathers, showgirls and live body painting. Hungry revelers will receive 10% off all dine-in food orders and will be treated to free Twinkies throughout the night. If that’s not enough to keep revelers entertained, corn hole and other competitive outdoor games will also be available.
Founded in August 2003 by Jose Navarro and Matt “Quickie” Tainow, Sidebar is a true neighborhood institution and a favorite Downtown Atlanta destination to grab a bite and a cocktail with friends, socialize before and after area events, watch televised sporting events and more. Sidebar offers mouthwatering pub grub including Cuban and pressed sandwiches, salads, burgers and pizza along with a premium cocktail selection, craft beers, wine, moonshine, and on tap cocktails. With a relaxed atmosphere, expansive bar, pool tables, plenty of seating, and a multitude of flat screen televisions, Sidebar has been serving locals, students, sports enthusiasts, travelers and area workers for ten years.
