Tio Lucho’s Is Turning Four With a Weekend-Long Anniversary

Tio Lucho’s is pulling out all the stops for its fourth anniversary weekend. From Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28, the Poncey-Highland favorite will celebrate with anniversary specials, fire-grilled anticuchos, live music, refreshing drinks, and specialty ceviches timed perfectly with National Ceviche Day.

At the heart of the weekend is James Beard Award semifinalist Chef Arnaldo Castillo, bringing the energy and Peruvian flavors that have made Tio Lucho’s such a standout over the last four years. The celebration begins Friday with food and beverage specials available throughout the restaurant, including the return of the famous Plato Fuerte, a shareable spread featuring a mini ceviche cup, shrimp cocktail, hush puppies, and plantain chips.

As the anniversary weekend rolls on, the patio takes center stage on Saturday, June 27, with an evening grill party from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A live DJ will keep the energy high while anticuchos hit the grill, filling the air with smoky aromas and bringing one of Peru’s most beloved street foods front and center. Guests can choose from beef sirloin, chicken thigh, fish loin, or mushroom skewers, each served with huancaína, parrillera salsa, choclo corn, and roasted potatoes. With anticuchos on the grill and drinks flowing, the patio is set for a lively celebration of food, music, and good company.

Last, but certainly not least, Sunday, June 28, brings the weekend to its biggest moment as Tio Lucho’s celebrates its official anniversary and National Ceviche Day. Specialty ceviches created for the occasion will be available throughout lunch and dinner service, including a Lemon Pepper Ceviche and a Chifa-style ceviche inspired by the flavors and traditions of Chinese-Peruvian cuisine.

Whether stopping by for a round of cocktails and anticuchos on the patio or settling in for a full meal with friends and family, guests can expect a weekend filled with the vibrant flavors and a lively atmosphere that have made Tio Lucho’s a neighborhood favorite over the last four years.

Reservations are strongly encouraged throughout the weekend. Indoor seating is limited, and patio seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
