Rye 51 Opens Expanded Flagship at Ponce City Market

After 11 years at Ponce City Market, Rye 51 has relocated to a larger space within the property, opening an expanded flagship that gives the modern menswear brand more room to present its complete wardrobe in one of the city’s most influential shopping destinations.

The new 2,800-square-foot store brings ready-to-wear collections, luxury casualwear, custom clothing, formalwear, footwear and accessories into an expansive ground-floor space within Ponce City Market’s new four-story mass timber building. High ceilings, abundant natural light and an open layout give each collection greater visibility while preserving the personal service that has shaped Rye 51 from the beginning. The flagship is located next to Pottery Barn, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and Alo.

“This is an important next chapter for Rye 51,” says founder and president Raja Ratan. “The new store allows us to show Atlanta the full scope of the brand, from luxury casualwear to custom clothing, all in one place. Men are dressing differently today, but they still want great fit, exceptional fabrics and personal service. Our job is to make that easy.”

Rye 51 began in 2003 when Ratan, a second-generation haberdasher, opened a single boutique devoted exclusively to custom clothing. His premise was direct: exceptional menswear starts with exceptional materials, precise tailoring and a clothier who understands the person wearing it. That foundation has grown into a national menswear brand with 11 stores across 10 markets, including Atlanta, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Little Rock, Nashville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Phoenix and Tulsa.

Its growth reflects a larger shift in the way men shop and dress. A suit is no longer the sole expression of a well-considered wardrobe. Rye 51 applies its tailoring heritage across a complete collection, from knitwear, denim and sport shirts to suede jackets, outerwear, sport coats, formalwear and footwear. Pieces are produced with a small-batch mentality in partnership with respected workshops and fabric makers around the world.

Rye 51 Sartorial extends that approach into made-to-measure suiting, shirting, tuxedos, outerwear, denim, knits and casual clothing. Appointments begin with one-on-one guidance from a professional clothier, followed by fabric selection, more than 25 body measurements and decisions spanning silhouette, construction and finishing details. Premium textiles are sourced from leading mills in Italy and around the world, including Loro Piana. Each garment is created for the individual, whether the occasion calls for a wedding tuxedo, a suit for work or a custom jacket that becomes part of the weekly rotation.

Personal service remains central to the experience. Clients may shop the ready-to-wear collections, schedule a private fitting, work with a stylist on a wardrobe refresh or gather around Rye 51’s signature in-store whiskey bar while selecting wedding attire. The emphasis stays on fabric, fit, detail and making the process easy.

The expansion also continues Rye 51’s long relationship with Ponce City Market. The brand arrived during the property’s earliest retail chapter and has grown alongside the landmark development, which helped reshape the Old Fourth Ward and Atlanta’s broader retail landscape. The larger flagship reflects Rye 51’s continued growth and the lasting role Ponce City Market has played in introducing distinctive local and national retailers to Atlanta.

The Rye 51 Ponce City Market flagship is now open at 619 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Suite B105, Atlanta, Georgia 30308. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and private styling and custom appointments may be scheduled at rye51.com.
