Furkids’ Paws for Cocktails Returns This October
An open bar, dinner, DJ, salsa dancers, spirited bidding and the chance to win a seven-night tropical escape are coming together for one of Furkids’ biggest celebrations of the year. Presented by Eclipse di Luna, Paws for Cocktails returns on Saturday, October 17, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., inviting animal lovers to enjoy a night out while helping provide rescue, medical care and second chances for thousands of cats and dogs.
Held across Furkids’ nine-acre campus and sanctuary, the annual affair will feature dinner, cocktails, live entertainment and live and silent auctions filled with sought-after items and experiences. This year, guests will also have the opportunity to experience the campus following the completion of the Sutherlin Dog Shelter and Giaquinto Medical Center, two landmark additions that have changed how many animals Furkids can shelter and the level of care it can provide.
“Paws for Cocktails is always one of our favorite nights because it brings together so many of the people who make this work possible,” says Samantha Shelton, founder and CEO of Furkids. “This year is particularly meaningful. For the first time, we can welcome our supporters into the expanded campus they helped create and show them how their generosity is already changing what is possible for animals throughout Georgia.”
Dinner is generously provided by Eclipse di Luna, setting the table for an evening of Latin & Spanish fare, flowing pours and plenty of reasons to raise a glass. Drink partners Gallo Wines, Lucky One Vodka cocktails and Don Cosme Tequila will keep cocktails and wine in hand throughout the evening, with a few extra surprises waiting around the corner.
One of the most anticipated parts of the evening is the Golden Ticket raffle, which will send one winner on a seven-night, all-inclusive stay for two adults at a choice of more than 30 participating resorts throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. Only 100 Golden Tickets will be sold for $100 each, and multiple entries may be purchased while supplies last. Guests will also have the chance to bid on an array of dining, travel, entertainment and lifestyle packages during the live and silent auctions.
General admission tickets are $100 and include dinner, an open bar, live music, auctions and event programming. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available for purchase now at furkids.org/paws-for-cocktails.
Every ticket, auction bid and sponsorship directly supports Furkids’ lifesaving work, from rescue and daily care to advanced medical treatment, rehabilitation and adoption. This year marks the first Paws for Cocktails since the opening of the Sutherlin Dog Shelter and Giaquinto Medical Center. Together, the new facilities bring every stage of an animal’s journey to one campus, expand the number of cats and dogs Furkids can save throughout Georgia and advance a new model for animal rescue and care in the Southeast.
Paws for Cocktails will be held at Furkids Headquarters, where the organization’s nine-acre campus and event facility Shiloh Gardens create a beautiful backdrop to celebrate Furkids’ lifesaving work. Located at 5235 Union Hill Road in Cumming, just outside Alpharetta, the campus is home to the new Sutherlin Dog Shelter and Giaquinto Medical Center.
