Grant Park Summer Shade Festival Announces Dates For 15Th Annual Event This August 2017

GRANT PARK SUMMER SHADE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES DATES

FOR 15TH ANNUAL EVENT THIS AUGUST 2017

Two Fun-Filled Days Featuring Live Music, an Expansive Artist Market, 

Food Trucks, Craft Beer, a 5K Run, Farmers Market and Much More

Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, 2017

Atlanta, Georgia – Raising approximately 87 thousand dollars for the Grant Park Conservancy at the 2016 event, the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival will once again welcome music and art lovers to Atlanta’s oldest park for two days of nonstop fun on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, 2017. Presented by and benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy, the festival will once again feature an impressive lineup of live music throughout the weekend on two stages in addition to an expansive artist market, Kids Zone, 5K run, and a dedicated VIP area. Open to all ages and free to attend, the 15th annual Summer Shade Festival will also have a diverse selection of local food trucks with offerings for all tastes, Monday Night Brewing craft beer, Bold Rock Cider, and Frida Kahlo Tequila and Status Vodka cocktails and more.

On Saturday morning at 8 a.m., runners, walkers and strollers are welcome to kick off the weekend’s festivities during the annual Adams Realtors Run for the Park 5K, which includes free kid’s tot trot for ages 5 and under and a stroller stroll along the race course. Raising funds to support the Grant Park Conservancy and its efforts to restore the park, the course map start and finish at the main entrance to Zoo Atlanta. Parking:
Parking lots are available off Boulevard Avenue or off Cherokee Avenue. There will also be street parking along Cherokee Avenue, Park Avenue, Atlanta Avenue, Berne Street and Sydney Street. There will also be a free bike valet courtesy of the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition.
