Grant Park Conservancy’s Canopy Soirée Is Back

Spring in Atlanta carries its own rhythm. Windows open. Music drifts farther. The city shakes off winter and steps back outside. On Friday, March 27, 2026, that energy gathers under one roof as the sixth annual Canopy Soirée takes over Savanna Hall at Zoo Atlanta for an unforgettable night in support of Grant Park.

Hosted by the Grant Park Conservancy, the 21+ celebration unfolds from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Savanna Hall, 800 Cherokee Avenue SE, overlooking the zoo’s sweeping African Savanna. Equal parts dance floor, cocktail party, and community love letter, the evening features music that keeps the room moving, an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle designed to raise the stakes. It is festive by design, but always rooted in purpose.

That purpose is clear. Grant Park is Atlanta’s oldest public park and one of its most enduring civic treasures. In the past year alone, the Conservancy has delivered meaningful improvements across the park, including a new playground, the signature Southeast Quadrant entrance, the reclaimed Abana Courtyard, and expanded greenspace at Erskine Fountain. Athletic areas have been revitalized with resurfaced basketball courts and a vibrant multi-use plaza serving basketball, pickleball, and tennis players. Native gardens now flourish at Constitution Spring and Loomis Plaza, habitat restoration continues at the Cherokee Wetlands and the Pond, and newly installed interpretive signage invites visitors to engage more deeply with the park’s layered history.

Funds raised during the 2026 Canopy Soirée will directly support the Milledge Fountain Outdoor Classroom and Theatre, the new GPC Park Care Center, year-round ecological care, and the beloved Summer Shade Festival. Community-driven fundraising events like this make transformative projects possible while ensuring that Grant Park remains vibrant, welcoming, and resilient for generations to come.
