Wild Heaven Beer Rings in 15 Years with Oktoberfest Bash

Wild Heaven Beer is celebrating 15 years of brewing magic, in true brewer’s fashion, with a series of Oktoberfest celebrations across each of its three locations—the original in Avondale Estates, their West End ‘Malt Disney’ location at the Lee+White Complex, and their newest spot in Toco Hills. Founded in 2010 by Brewmaster Eric Johnson and Nick Purdy, Wild Heaven Beer has made an indelible mark on Georgia’s craft beer scene, beginning with its first two creations—Invocation and Ode to Mercy—before pushing the creative bounds of brewing through collaborations with Bulleit Frontier Whiskey and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Wild Heaven is best known for its immediately recognizable and iconic Emergency Drinking Beer, which remains one of its most popular offerings.

The first Oktoberfest celebration will kick off in Avondale Estates on September 27 at 11:30 a.m. Guests are encouraged to don classic Oktoberfest attire—lederhosen and dirndls strongly welcomed—and join a day full of beer, bites, and Bavarian cheer right where it all began. Bring a trusty stein and toast to the occasion with a $6 fill of Fest Beer, while arms are tested (and bragging rights earned) at 2:15 p.m. during the Stein Hoisting Competition. As the drinks flow freely, Pine Street Market Kitchen will serve up Oktoberfest bites through Sunday, all unfolding to the raucous rhythms of German music by Mercury Orkestar, because every great party needs a proper soundtrack.

To add to the festivities, two brand-new brews will be available at Avondale and West End locations on Friday, September 26. Introducing Soul Spritz, the beer version of an Aperol Spritz—bright, bubbly, and dangerously easy to sip— and Acolyte, a funky, slightly fruity Wild Ale the brew team has been quietly perfecting for over a year, each a testament to the Wild Heaven team’s creativity and inventiveness.

The celebration will continue at Wild Heaven’s West End and Toco Hills locations next Saturday, October 4, where there will be something for everyone, even if you can’t make it to the original—or come to all three.
