TWO urban licks Announces a New Executive Chef

TWO urban licks, the iconic go-to dining destination located on the Atlanta BeltLine, is thrilled to announce Shain Wancio as Executive Chef. The award-winning chef is known for his deep history within the Philadelphia culinary community and his lifelong passion for cooking. Joking that he was “classically trained at the school of hard knocks,” Wancio has earned a reputation for being a leader in the kitchen, his financial prowess, and having a steadfast creative vision for building bold and aggressive flavors using old and new techniques.  

Getting his start professionally at the Centre Bridge Inn in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Wancio continued to hone his talent at prestigious Philadelphia haunts including Le Pommier, Deterra, Sidecar Bar/Kraftwork, Supper, and Bodega Bar and Kitchen. Wancio’s talents also extend to running a premier Philadelphia-based catering company, Farm Truck, that primarily focuses on weddings and special events utilizing exclusively locally-grown and in-season produce. Most recently he has been tapped for both creative and financial consulting within the culinary industry. 

Now at the helm of TWO urban licks’ kitchen, Wancio is committed to bringing his dynamic energy and expertise to the nationally acclaimed dining spot, while ensuring it continues to be recognized as the next generation in creative, comfortable, and fiery cuisine at the highest echelons. 
The spacious and beautifully designed dining and drinking destination serves wood-fired cuisine and has an impressive wine program that includes a 26-foot wine on tap barrel wall, which was the first in the country. TWO urban licks also boasts in house draft cocktails, infusions, signature cocktails, and a state of the art beer program.
