Lucia Introduces Weekend Brunch on the BeltLine

Weekend brunch is arriving at Trattoria Lucia. Beginning Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, the new trattoria that quietly opened in Glenwood Park this winter will serve brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing a relaxed Italian perspective to the mid-day table.

The 60-seat restaurant from restaurateur Damien McGee, known for his acclaimed cocktail lounge Vesper, has quickly become a local favorite for its approachable Italian cooking, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sidewalk bistro tables that spill out along the BeltLine. Now Lucia turns its attention from dinner to late-morning gatherings with a brunch menu that blends Italian flavors with familiar classics.

The menu leans indulgent in all the right ways. Highlights include Affogato French Toast with brioche soaked in espresso and finished with vanilla gelato; Prosciutto Benedict layered with prosciutto di Parma and basil hollandaise on rosemary focaccia; and an Italian Farm Breakfast Skillet with eggs, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes, and focaccia. The New York Italian pairs smoked salmon with whipped ricotta, capers, and focaccia, while handhelds include a breakfast sandwich with Italian sausage and cheese on a brioche bun and Chef Mel’s fried chicken biscuit. For something lighter, guests can opt for Caprese Avocado Toast with heirloom tomatoes, basil, balsamic glaze, and mozzarella, or a yogurt parfait topped with pistachio and fresh fruit. A bread basket with room-temperature butter and salt rounds out the table. The beverage selection complements the menu with brunch cocktails, zero-proof options, and a lineup of coffee and tea, including espresso, cappuccino, Americano, and assorted hot teas. 

Weekend brunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning March 28–29.
