Help Cypress Street Pint & Plate “Kick the Cask” for a Great Cause

Cypress Street Pint and Plate, one of Atlanta’s favorite go-to craft beer destinations, is partnering with SweetWater Brewing Company for a great cause during a special “Kick the Cask” edition of its popular Beer Geek Tuesday series on February 23, 2016. Benefiting The Giving Kitchen a local non-profit dedicated to assisting restaurant industry workers who have experienced unanticipated emergencies and hardships, Cypress Street will start the countdown at 7 p.m. sharp to kick the cask of SweetWater Second Helping IPA – a limited edition release brewed with juniper berries and with 100% of its profits going to The Giving Kitchen.  If the cask runs out in 42 minutes or less, Cypress will donate $500 to The Giving Kitchen. Cypress will also donate 25 cents per SweetWater beer served throughout the day and night to The Giving Kitchen and will also be releasing SweetWater’s newest seasonal, Hash Session IPA ,in addition to pouring their newest brew, Pulled Porter.

CYPRESS STREET PINT AND PLATE CELEBRATES 8 YEARS OF SUCCESS

Cypress Street Pint and Plate, one of Atlanta’s most celebrated neighborhood haunts located in the heart of Midtown, is hosting an anniversary bash on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in honor of eight years of success. Coinciding with the six-year anniversary of its popular weekly series, Beer Geek Tuesday, the double-trouble anniversary bash kicks off at 8 p.m. and will feature $4 American Spirit Whiskey drinks, $5 well drinks, $2 Cypress House Beer, a Jäger ice luge, OMG Photo Booth, special Cypress “cellar beers”, DJ Pat O’Brien and more.  The event is free and open to ages 21 and up.

A throwback to when the drinks were always cold, the food was always hot, and the bar-staff knew your name, Cypress Street Pint and Plate has become a longstanding Atlanta neighborhood favorite. My Parents’ Basement Now Open in Avondale Estates

My Parents’ Basement, a new craft beer bar, restaurant and comic book store is officially open in Avondale Estates for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

After several years of doing pop up shops that attracted people from as far away as North Carolina, Alabama and Florida, Dave DeFeo, Tim Ensor and Lawson Wright - the trio behind My Parents’ Basement, are giving craft beer and comic book lovers a new watering hole in Georgia to call home. Located in the old James Joyce space, My Parents’ Basement is offering a menu of approachable bites and small plates along with an impeccable beer selection and craft sodas from 32 taps, free video arcade games and the latest in fan favorite comic books including classics and hard-to find-titles.
