CWPR Adds Georgia Theatre & Bad Dog Taqueria to Its Client Roster

March 10th, 2011 | News | 0 Comments

CWPR is thrilled to announce the addition of the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA and Bad Dog Taqueria in the Emory Village in Atlanta to its client roster. As the Georgia Theatre gears up for its grand re-opening this summer after a fire nearly destroyed it in June 2009, CWPR is looking forward to helping with ongoing fundraising efforts and executing a public relations campaign surrounding the official grand re-opening festivities for the cherished institution that has played host to such notable artists as B.B. King, the B-52’s, The Police, Widespread Panic and R.E.M.

A bit closer to home, CWPR is counting down the days for Bad Dog Taqueria to open in the Emory Village at 1579 North Decatur Road this spring. Featuring a $2.99 taco menu inspired by flavors around the world, Bad Dog will also have four different types of house-made chips and four signature salsas, burritos, salads and a full bar. Owners Tracy Mitchell and Bardo Arroyave have hired Lis Hernandez, who formerly worked for Osteria 832 and Stella Trattoria, as the executive chef.  The 1,700-square foot space boasts of modern comfort and clean lines and has a hand-crafted bar made from a tree salvaged from the 2008 Atlanta tornadoes. Guests will be surrounded by exposed brick walls and dramatic black and white photography upon entry and are invited to further pour onto the small outdoor patio. Stay tuned for details about the grand opening!

CWPR Event Navigator contest winner announced

February 16th, 2011 | News | 0 Comments

Back on December 5th – in conjunction with CWPR’s 5th Anniversary, we formally launched the CWPR Event Navigator… kicking off a two week long contest that would yield over 300 downloads. Throughout that short period we received your screen captures, a few disgustingly adorable pictures of people’s dogs using the app & even what may or may not have been a shirtless man in the reflection of his phone’s screen. (You didn’t win, but thanks for the extra effort.)

In the end, it came down to one random entrant who would take home the mother load. Jana Schonhoff, who ironically entered on the last day of the contest, ended up as the winner. If you know her, congratulate her.  As you can see below, she definitely made out.  If you don’t, use the CWPR app… maybe you will end up meeting her and convincing her to share the spoils of her victory.

Thanks to everyone who entered.  Keep an eye on your emails… we will be sending along a gift from a special friend, as a token of our appreciation. And remember to follow @theFatbird for event specials, VIP access and giveaway announcements. Read More
